Kate Horowitz is a science writer, essayist, and poet based in Washington, D.C. She is also a chronically ill and disabled lady; an enthusiastic, if clumsy, dancer; a cross-stitcher; and a fan of small, strange creatures. She likes the moon. She eats a lot of apples. She takes a lot of walks.
